Yes, you heard right! I attempted a very dark smokey eye and it turned out not too bad looking!
I only used one brush for my entire eye – the base shadow brush by Real Techniques. It has the perfect tapered end allowing it to be versatile for many purposes.
You can find the products used on my eyes listed below.
The key skill I developed while working on the eyes is blending and building up the colour.
I started off with a nude base, light browns, and eventually built up enough colour and courage to dab on some dark browns and black. What some youtube tutorials forget to mention is the time it takes to blend everything. I was blending for a good 30seconds or so between each shade.
I recently bought the Morphe Palette in 35OM – this palette has already placed itself in my list of holy grails. It has every neutral shade you could want and it’s perfect for autumn.
I’m not wearing any lashes although you are more than welcome to add them for a dramatic look.
I also went for a nude lip to tie it all together.
